Your press is interested is subscribing to PubGizmo, and want to know the steps involved in getting aboard.

Email Us!

First thing: let us know you are interested in subscribing by sending an email to [[1]]. Not only does that provide an opportunity for us to answer any questions not answered here or elsewhere on the PubGizmo main site, it allows us to query about your press size and timeline (e.g., when's your next royalty run?), and plan and potentially schedule your onboarding.

Emailing us puts you under no obligation, and we promise not to bug you if decide not to proceed.

Determine Your Pricing Tier

PubGizmo's annual subscription rate is based on the size of your press, which is determined by how many books in your catalog, both print and out-of-print. Pricing is straightforward, with no hidden fees or surprises. Here's what to expect:

  1. Setup – one time only
  2. Subscription – annual or monthly, payable in advance
  3. Additional users – base subscription is for one user.

You can find the exact details on PubGizmo's Pricing page.

Currently Available in Canada and the United States Only

Currently, PubGizmo is built to serve presses in Canada and the United States, but don't worry: we are always improving and developing, and if you don't operate in these territories, please let us know.

Read the Agreement

You'll need to agree to and sign the PubGizmo Subscription Agreement; give it a close read. It's eleven pages – sorry! We've tried to keep the language comprehensible. If you are happy with the terms, we will send you a copy customized for your press, which you can sign and send.

Need Help?

Let us know if you have any questions about the agreement – we're happy to explain any part of the agreement. We are also open to amending the agreement to suit you, if there are any clauses that require customization for your particular circumstances.

Prepare Your Data for Import

PubGizmo needs your press's core data before it can process royalties. This includes:

  1. Books
  2. Editions for those books
  3. Contacts (authors, translators, other contract-holders), along with all clauses
  4. Organizations
  5. Contracts (for Contacts and Organizations)

Precise details on how to set up your data can be found on the Getting Started page. We're also available to help with any onboarding questions along the way, via email to [[2]]. We are patient and kind – honest!
