While there are specific functions performed by each of PubGizmo's modules, there's a general convention on how to use specific features throughout.

Most of PubGizmo's navigation duplicates what you already do in software and on the web: click an item (only a single click is necessary) to go somewhere else. Click a Contacts button to go to the Contacts module. Easy.

You can also go to a specific record by searching.

Portals

A portal is at its simplest, a list, but they are actually sexier than that, in that in many cases they are lists of records in other modules. For example, an author's Contact record includes a portal that lists all the Titles for which the author is a contributor, that is, each item in that portal is also a record in PubGizmo (it's a "portal" to other Title records).
